Montreal, October, 2025 — This fall, the SOUK celebrates a defining cultural milestone: its 20th edition. Since its first gathering in 2003, the SOUK has become more than a market. It has grown into a living archive of Montreal’s design culture and a meeting ground where creativity, craftsmanship, and community converge.
SOUK #20 is not just a celebration of the past but a vision for the future. For two decades, the SOUK has fostered a community that unites Montreal’s most innovative designers, where bold ideas take shape, creativity exchanged, and enduring connections forged.
To honour this journey, the SOUK has filmed an intimate tribute featuring members of the SOUK community, both past and present. More than a retrospective, the film captures raw moments of emotion that reveal just how deeply the SOUK has touched lives: sparking careers, fostering collaboration, bringing families together, and creating memories that continue to resonate across Montreal’s creative community.

From November 25 to 30, SOUK will welcome visitors to step inside its 20th edition and experience the culmination of two decades of bold creativity, exceptional talent, and unforgettable encounters. This year’s edition is an invitation to look back at the journeys of the designers, collaborators, and audiences who have shaped the legacy of the SOUK, while reliving the emotions that defined those moments and imagining the future of Montreal design together.
Throughout its history, the SOUK has amplified emerging voices and elevated Montreal’s place on the international stage. Cultivating an ever-growing community that embraces the power of design and interlacing the threads of heritage and vision, SOUK #20 will craft a living tapestry that connects the city’s design past with its creative future.

This year’s SOUK brings together a dynamic roster of Montreal’s most innovative designers, each rigorously selected by an expert jury for their originality, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking vision. The 20th edition features a vibrant mix of both celebrated names and emerging creative talents, showcasing exclusive new works and unique products that reflect the diversity and depth of Montreal’s design scene. Visitors can expect to discover everything from contemporary furniture and home objects to ceramics, fashion, visual art, jewelry, and lifestyle goods, each piece reflecting not only the designer’s individual story but the collaborative spirit and elevated standards that define the SOUK.
