Their latest collaboration — Two Decades of Community — stands as one of the most heartfelt reflections of SOUK’s creative pulse.

Their portfolio includes international campaigns, product videos, founder portraits, and a wide range of social content created for brands across multiple industries in Canada and the United States.

Alexis GR

@alexisgr
Photographer

Since the 15th edition (2018), Alexis — a portrait and editorial photographer — has been the discerning eye behind SOUK’s curators’ portraits, capturing the presence and individuality of each jury member across editions. For the 20th edition, his work bridges past and present, documenting both past and present contributors.

Alexis Gonçalves Ramirez is a photographer working in North America. From a young age, he had his head buried in fashion magazines and films, searching for new images, unknown characters, and unexplored settings. The constant pursuit of striking and powerful visual details became a passion—an obsession. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2014, he turned down a job offer in telecommunications to explore various visual fields within culture. His path led him in front of the camera as a model in an agency. It was only a few years later that he began venturing to the other side of the lens. Since then, his playground has been the world of photography, driven by the ambition to create emotion or spark a feeling.

Alexandre Nuance

@alexandrenuance
Music Composer & Senior Art Director
Carré sonore

For SOUK’s 20th anniversary celebration, Alexandre — whose practice spans photography and art direction — brought his instinctive eye and atmospheric sensibility to document the electrifying evening curated by Laïka. His images reveal the pulse, movement, and energy that shaped this vibrant community celebration.

Art director and composer, Alexandre Nuance creates at the intersection of design, music, and cinema. Through Carré Sonore, he explores how time, form, and memory can be shaped to imagine sensitive and immersive experiences.

Azamit

@_azamit
Founder & Creative Director SOUK & SERIES WITH
Co-founder HINTSA RUDMAN

Founder and creative visionary of SOUK, Azamit has shaped the platform’s identity for over two decades while leading other diverse creative projects, including her furniture brand Hintsa Rudman, which she co-founded. For this 20th edition, she introduced Rituals, a multisensorial installation exploring the emotional resonance of objects and the quiet power they hold in our daily lives.

With over 25 years in the design industry, Azamit has mastered the art of crafting brand experiences that leave a lasting impression. A connector at heart, she blends design, fashion, culture, lifestyle, and travel to create authentic and meaningful experiences. With a sharp eye for aesthetics and a clear creative vision, she curates experiences across physical and digital platforms to reveal the essence of every story. Rooted in fashion and design, she is the creative force behind SOUK and co-founder of the furniture brand Hintsa Rudman, collaborating with organizations to elevate design-driven communities.

Emmanuelle Roque

@emmanuelleroque_
@ema__ceramics
Interior stylist and ceramicist

Long-time collaborator, interior stylist and ceramicist,  Emmanuelle has contributed to SOUK as both designer and collaborator across several editions. For the 20th edition, she curated the Rituals experiential space, selecting each object with care to create a contemplative environment rooted in presence and intention.

An interior stylist and ceramicist, she develops a sensitive practice centered on the relationship between space, object, and material. Her approach highlights textures and volumes, seeking a balance between function and contemplation while playing with contrasts between the old and the modern. She composes her spaces with intention, where simplicity invites one to slow down, observe, and appreciate the objects that surround us in everyday life.

Anaïe Dufresne & Nicholas Sangaré

@ensssemble
Founders of Ensemble and Designers

The ENSEMBLE group, led by main co-organizers Anaïe and Nicholas, continues to affirm themselves as a rising creative force. Their installation on the mezzanine level for the 20th edition was a standout moment, and their collaboration with the SOUK creative team contributed to elevating this year’s scenography and highlighting the 65 participating designers shaping Montréal’s design scene.

ENSEMBLE’s mission is to highlight the excellence of local design, whether emerging or established. Their interventions take the form of large-scale exhibitions supported by immersive scenography that offers a reading beyond the traditional frameworks of galleries, commercial spaces, or residential environments.

Rhubarbe

@rhubarbe_mtl
Cheffe Pâtissière

Our collaboration with Pastry Chef Stéphanie Labelle of Rhubarbe is a story of ongoing delight — from presenting her work as a designer to her role as jury-curator, to crafting memorable pop-ups restaurants at our past SOUK editions. This year, for SOUK’s 20th anniversary evening, she crafted an unforgettable centrepiece that captivated the celebration: a seven-foot mille-feuille that stole the show and became the defining visual moment of the night.

After graduating from the ITHQ in 2003, Stephanie Labelle perfected her chocolate making  skills at Les Chocolats de Chloé. She then moved to Paris and specialized in boutique pastry  making. Upon her return to Montreal, she set her sights on the restaurant business and in 2010,  Patisserie Rhubarb was born, offering fresh products made with seasonal ingredients.
